Currently Located in North Phoenix but we will drive it out to our beach house if it's new owner needs delivery in California!
Great truck, comes with all original service manuals. Only 77500 miles, 4129 pump hours. We have had other trucks from Pierce (Saber line) with 3x these miles/hours and still in great functional condition- lots of life ahead of this truck!
Please message me if know a certified inspector, we would like to get this truck professionally inspected/tested to be certified fire-ready.
Your chance to own your OWN PRIVATE FIRE TRUCK! Custom Pierce Saber Fire Truck built in the USA in 2000 for Marengo Fire Dept at a cost of over a Quarter-Million Dollars! Original binders come with the truck detailing all its custom systems. The turbo diesel powertrain was FLEET serviced. You can tell it was maintained at a high level during its years of faithful service for Marengo. This truck was built to military grade specs to be ready when duty calls.
The powertrain is a literal POWERHOUSE. It has a Turbo Detroit Diesel Series 40 that is designed and rated to last 500,000-1,000,000 miles with proper service. Do some research on this legendary engine. It is mated with a tried and true Allison Transmission model that allows for Power Take Off cranks to power anything off the force of the engine. One transmission connection is already tapped into for the WATEROUS 1250 Gallons Per Minute Brass Centrifugal water pump and Heavy Duty Amperage generator/inverter. The Fire Chief that showed us the truck when we picked it up said the truck is still certified and ready for duty at the time of purchase! This unit was only sparingly used. They have full cast-brass internal Impellers. The generator offers power to the pump, various emergency light, surrounding scene lights, ground, cab, working intercom system, custom high powered light bar, and tool box lights. It has a breaker box built into one the of tool boxes. Lots of extra options on this unit such heated and power adjust side mirrors with blind spot section. The front bumper is equipped with an AMAZING AIR SIREN -- Federal Signal Q-Siren. It is also equipped with a HUGE “Waterous” brand pump with built in FOAM A/B Module. The built in ONE- THOUSAND GALLON Thick-Poly WATER TANK is huge but when the enormous pump is at full capacity is less than a minute of supply (1250GPM). There are big inlets and several outlets that give access to the 1000 gallons of on-board water allow for possibilities of repurposing vast - many use trucks like this to supply water, electrical power, tool storage, and even shelter in remote locations. There is an additional port built into the Allison transmission that allows another connection to the power of the diesel. Many use these trucks to establishment nurseries in rural properties to qualify for tax incentives, setting the 1000 gallon tank to drip water plants/trees. The tank and electrical source makes for great off-grid self sufficiency. It also makes for a great kids party service if you add foam and speakers for music for preschools, days cares, HOAs, etc. Great for use as a reserve fire truck when the wildfires come next. A lot of conversion options also; on or off-grid airbnb dwelling with large cab and water/electric, toy hauler, food truck 🔥, RV, the possibilities are endless with this industrial workhorse!
SNAP-ON level quality (but actually custom PIERCE) tool compartments offers vast and sturdy storage for tools, ammunitions, dry food, supplies, etc. Mounting can be customized with hooks and shelves to suit your needs. The hinges are super heavy duty and door are spring-hydraulic.
My dad and I just drove this truck about 1800 miles from Marengo to Phoenix with no problems, in fact the TEK-4 linked front suspension and dually rear chassis made it an easy drive, even in strong winds and snow/icy roads. When we got to Phoenix we purchased TWO brand new industrial/Semi-style batteries (around April 2025).
It is sold AS-IS. Since we took it on a long highway drive (and went through a 70mph dust storm then later a snow storm) Tires are good condition and deep tread still left.
Multi-tank air compressor system seems to be in great shape - it runs the air brakes (auto-retarder built into the transmission does most of the stopping work). Air system is supplied to multiple air outlets on bumper and near pumper, parking/emergency brakes, and other various system. Consistent with its age, it has some modest upholstery wear/tear, paint, undercarriage surface rust. The truck is equipped with a great Hydraulic Cab-Lift system that makes it super easy to maintenance the drivetrain (trans/engine/front suspension/radiator/etc)
The truck comes with the owners manuel, Waterous pump manual, original documents. Top tier quality part and maintenance kept this truck maintained and fire-ready. I don’t know how to properly use/test all the systems- I would be so happy if a buyer offered to have it inspected as long as I am given the report and we are able to re-negotiate price (higher or lower) based on findings. If you have or find a nearby expert inspection I’d he happy to split the cost with a serious buyer. Sold as-is.

Buyer accepts risk of wear/tear of this method of delivery. The truck comes with some new filters (I believe air filter, oil filter, coolant filter, and fuel filter). We bought these filters but the shop said it was unnecessary to install them just yet as everything looks up to date.
