Hi! My name is Fran and I am the President at Elephanatics. We are a non-profit with a mission to improve the lives of African and Asian elephants, especially now that they are facing extinction in the next decade. One of our activities is educating students about the issues of ivory poaching and unethical tourism practices. We are in search of talented volunteers to give already produced classroom presentations to schools in the greater San Diego vicinity on an ongoing basis.
If you are passionate about animals and love elephants and want to make a difference to a global crisis then this is a volunteer job you will love. Young children are always so enthusiastic and inquisitive about animals.
The position would require you to contact our liaison in San Diego who would provide you with all the information required for the position to get you started. The classroom presentations are one-hour long. The best candidate for this position is someone with good communication skills and is willing to commit to one classroom presentation a month.
Owning a car is an asset.
Please contact us if you feel you have the passion required to assist us with our goal of saving the elephant. You can view our website at www.elephanatics.org
