If you are not aware of these rods, they are worth the research. They are composite rods built from the modern graphite material but with one layer (however they do it) of glass (S-Glass I presume). So they are nearly as light as a typical graphite rod but the far greater strength as nice parabolic action qualities of glass. Look at the prices now of manufactures going back to glass for fly rods and spinning rods such as the St. Croix Legend Glass crankbait rods ($250 to $300). Note: If you prefer pure high quality E-Glass rods I am selling several beautiful vintage Fenwick Rods also.
I have fished with these rods for Inshore fishing on the Gulf of Mexico - Snook, Redfish, Trout, Grouper. Check out the YouTube channel "Flats Class" who uses these rods. The 8' rod here is perfect for Tarpon but I have caught a 4-5 bass with it on topwater right in the Carlsbad Buena Vista Lagoon!
Here in our area have caught Spotted Bass and White Sea Bass.
I am listing these as a set but if you want to offer for one or two at $125 I would consider. These cost $189 - $199 new. If I divide the set it means I have to redo my eBay photos.
They have fish fresh and salt water (what they are made for) but were always rinsed after.
Note: I am selling these preparing for travel where I can only use rods multi-piece rods. I have fished since I could walk 1960's and these, in my experience. are the best rods out there. Nowadays the action on these is what rod companies market as "Crankbait Rods" or as "Topwater Rods".
