The hinge on my ASUS laptop GL551JM-DH71 broke so I removed the lid and use the laptop with a separate HDMI TV for the display. So, I have a perfectly good screen that someone could use as a replacement if they need one. It is still mounted in the lid to keep it safe, but the lid and bezel and not usable so just discard those. There are no scratches on the screen and no flaws in the display.
