Leidos’ Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) operion is seeking a Systems Test Engineer in Vista, CA to join our cross-functional engineering team using cutting edge technology to develop truly novel solutions th make travel and trade safer, healthier, and more efficient on a global level.   As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dediced group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology.  Our team produces a comprehensive suite of fully automed and integred products for aviion, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers.  These systems provide thre detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people checkpoints around the world.

The Systems Test Engineer collabores with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Training, Field Service, and customers across the development lifecycle to qualify and sustain Leidos security detection products the factory and in the field. This role requires experience with integred systems, including software and hardware testing, and proficiency in Linux and Windows environments. You will work closely with Lead Engineers to understand da flows and interface control documents, developing test stregies for end-to-end verificion of device communicions and imaging. Responsibilities include expanding automed testing, executing automion stregies, measuring effectiveness via KPIs, and integring new tools and technologies. Formal test reporting and documention are required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and execute manual and automed integrion testing across edge, enterprise, and cloud environments.

• Develop and maintain test frameworks (integrion, performance, regression) to valide system requirements.

• Install and test software in system environments to support product qualificion and field deployment.

• Define and implement test automion stregies; identify and autome regression test candides.

• Cree, execute, and document test plans and results.

• Partner with development teams to identify and resolve defects early.

• Participe in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).

• Produce documention and follow configurion management processes for software release.

• Lead discussions on system/software quality and communice stus, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

• Support Field Service in troubleshooting installion issues and customer problem resolution.

• Communice effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Basic Qualificions:

• BS with 8+ years or MS with 6+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience).

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).

• Strong experience with Linux-based systems.

• Experience troubleshooting integred software/hardware systems.

• Experience developing test procedures and validing system requirements.

• Familiarity with development processes and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).

• Experience with automed testing tools and methodologies.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communicion skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Preferred Qualificions:

• Familiarity with Containerized applicions and orchestrion (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Familiarity with least one Relional Dabase Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).

• Knowledge of a version control system (e.g., Git).

• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Familiarity with networks and distributed software environments.

• Familiarity working with Windows-based opering systems/applicions.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
