250-amp 6 phase CBM Motorsports™ alternators are designed for GM LS style engine applications using the low mount F-Body belt line, they offer more low RPM output, and a lower turn on RPM than any other performance alternator on the market, period. These units feature cutting edge 6 phase hairpin stator technology for incredible durability and high RPM stability.
One wire CBM units require no engine revving for charging to begin, simply start the engine and the alternator will do the rest. Choose between a side or rear output stud location. These units are Made In The USA.
Be sure to determine what the continuous amp draw of all of your vehicle’s electrical equipment adds up to before ordering. If you are unsure how much amperage your accessories consume, contact one of our experienced sales associates for assistance. It is also helpful to supply your engine idle speed, crankshaft pulley diameter, and maximum engine RPM so that we can assist you in determining the correct alternator pulley diameter- one size does not fit all!! Ordering the correct output curve and pulley diameter for your application is key to charging system performance and durability.
Instead of a single rectifier assembly, these units feature TWIN rectifiers and twice as many diodes to spread out the heat, and dramatically increase durability. These units are 15% more efficient than other alternators, so less horsepower is wasted in the form of heat than other popular brand alternators. If you have poor alternator charging performance at engine idle speeds, low voltage, or pre-mature alternator failure due to RPM or heat, a CBM high amp alternator is the solution.
