I sadly need to rehome my four year old Kiva. She is a mix between a Rottweiler, Pitbull, and Shar Pei. Her mom was full Rottweiler and her dad was the Pitbull/Shar Pei mix. She weighs about 75-80lbs but she is the sweetest family dog. I have two kids (3 and 1 years old) and she allows them to sit on her, hug her, pull on her tail and she loves all the attention. She is just a huggable bear.
After my second pregnancy, I became allergic to her fur and I thought it would go away after pregnancy but it hasn’t been any better so we have made the hard decision to rehome her.
Kiva would thrive in a family home, a home with another dog, she has been friendly with cats and even had a cat best friend when she was a puppy so if that is you, I’m sure that would be ok with her too just would need some adjusting time, or even someone who is retired and can spend most of their day with her. She is such a love bug and wants to be loved.
She is pretty low maintenance when it comes to walking. We have her on a schedule that consists of a 10 minute walk in the morning and a 30 minute walk at night. She is fully house trained, she stays home alone and doesn’t do any damage to furniture, she’ll only eat food if left on the counter. She does need to be groomed regularly because of her coat and it helps with the shedding. She knows her commands like sit, stay, down, roll over, and a fun one we do is “sit pretty” where she stands on her feet.
Anyone who welcomes Kiva to her home would instantly fall in love with her. She is honestly the best dog and I wish I didn’t have to say goodbye. If you would like to add Kiva as the newest family member, we are asking for a small rehoming fee of $200.
