History: Taylor made these wonderful solid body electrics from 2007 to 2014. Build quality is impressive, as you would expect from a company like Taylor. These were designed by Taylor from the ground up and built along side their high end acoustic guitars in Taylor's El Cajon USA factory. Though the quality, playability and sound was excellent, they didn't sell well. Looking back this is due to the timing. Taylor introduced these guitars at the start of a major economic recession of 2008, when people were looking to cut-back, not add a new guitar to their collections. Lucky for us, the price on the used market reflects this and they can be had a bargain price today.
If these were introduced today, they would sell for $2500 to $3500. Case in point, the current Powers Electrics from Taylor are start at $3800.
