Ideal Candidate Criteria: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, technically curious individual who is comfortable working with data, eager to learn instrumentation and troubleshooting skills, and proactive in collaborating with plant personnel to identify issues and drive continuous improvement..
Job Duties:
Product loss:
-Collect and organize product loss data. Create visual charts to identify trends and locations where product losses are occurring.
-Based on the data, conduct investigations to determine the causes of the losses and corrective actions to be implemented together with the personnel working in the area.
-Set-up and monitor waste sampler to identify the times where product goes down the drain. Train additional personnel to operate the sampler as needed. Organize the data and share it with the plant personnel to implement corrective actions and measures aimed at reducing product losses.
Instrumentation:
-Learn the basics of electricity.
-In conjunction with the Plant Superintendent, compile the list of instruments used in the plant. Collect and organize the manuals for each instrument.
-Learn how to adjust/calibrate and troubleshoot the instruments.
-Red zone data: Extract data and put it in a format that is useful to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
-Other duties as assigned.
-Prompt and regular attendance is required.
-This is a part time position with the opportunity to become a full time position if the Company is satisfied with the job performance.
Skills Needed: The ability to read, write and comprehend in English. The ability to calculate basic math functions. The ability to communicate effectively with others.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is constantly required to sit. The employee must regularly push, pull; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
