Experienced Hardware Installer – Precision Sheet Metal (San Marcos, CA)

Precision sheet metal fabricator in San Marcos is seeking an experienced Hardware Installer to join our team.
Job Summary
This position involves installing various types of PEM hardware (nuts, studs, standoffs, rivets, etc.) using specialized hardware installation equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform all work in compliance with company safety and quality standards (IIPP and Quality Management System)
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine hardware type, quantity, and placement
• Select and set up proper tooling for hardware installation machines
• Install and inspect first-piece parts to ensure proper setup
• Inspect completed parts to verify all required hardware is installed correctly
• Complete production traveler and related paperwork
• Maintain equipment, including routine calibration and upkeep
Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment
Required Skills & Abilities
• Ability to lift, carry, move up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English to follow work instructions, safety requirements, and part drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings
• Good vision (near, far, and peripheral; corrective lenses acceptable)
• Ability to hear and distinguish verbal and non-verbal communication
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Additional Requirements
• Must follow all safety rules and wear required PPE
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
• Must pass a drug test and background check
Schedule & Compensation
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Compensation: $22–$27/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• 90-day trial period, with full benefits offered after successful completion
