Means Engineering is looking for an experienced Material Handler II to join our team. This position will perform a variety of tasks related to the receiving, storage, and shipment of material, equipment, and product. As general policy, all stockroom personnel are expected to be proficient with general material handling and processing duties that include receiving, stockroom duties and shipping. This role will spend a large portion of their time engaged activities and events that ensure material accuracy throughout the facility, and in shipping and receiving functions.

Essential Functions:
Stockroom Duties
Accurately pull kits based on output from the ERP system
Assist in complex cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies and shelf life
Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method and records all movement of materials in the ERP system
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed using the ERP system
Fill and transact requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to the requesting department
Validate and reconcile completed jobs for closing in the ERP system and archive completed job packets
Train other Material Handlers as needed
Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
Assist shipping and receiving functions by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, breaking down boxes, etc.
Receiving Duties
Receive incoming materials or equipment and unpack and examine contents to verify against packing slip and/or PO following company procedure
Record and enter all information into the ERP system
Route incoming shipments, reject damaged items and move to QA
Print and attach MEI labels to all incoming materials
Receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
Shipping Duties
Prepare items for shipping following standard procedures
Assemble shipping cartons, boxes or other packaging as required
Prepare shipping labels, weigh shipment and complete documentation for proper recording
Education, Experience, and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
5+ years related experience and/or education
Must have strong English communication skills to understand verbal and written instructions, communicate with other employees both verbally and in writing, follow directions and tasks lists, and participate in departmental team meetings and required training classes
Ability to operate forklift safely and pass forklift certification
Ability to count accurately
Strong computer skills including:
Experience and strong ability to work within ERP system including ability to train others
MS Office software including strong Excel capabilities
Adobe PDF Software
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
Ability to multi-task
Range: $20.74 - $23.18 per hour or D.O.E.
