I run a small couch resale operation using local storage units and am looking for a reliable, hands-on partner to handle pickups, deliveries, and local operations.
This is not a 9–5 job. It’s asynchronous, on-demand work with flexible scheduling and performance-based pay. Ideal for someone who wants autonomy, steady side income, and upside as volume increases.
What You’d Be Doing
* Pick up couches from sellers and transport them to a nearby storage unit
* Perform or procure thorough, professional-level cleaning and minor repairs to make couches look pristine and market-ready
* Stage couches and take quality photos using your phone
* Host buyer showings when needed (scheduling handled for you)
* Deliver couches to buyers when delivery is requested
* Communicate clearly about couch condition and timing
Pay Structure (Per Couch)
You’re paid in three phases:
1) Pickup & Drop-Off (Guaranteed)
* $1 per mile, round trip
* Average payout: ~$50 per couch
* Paid for every couch picked up and delivered to storage
2) Couch Prepped & Photos Submitted
* $50 base per couch
* Paid once cleaning is complete and photos are sent
3) Sale Participation (When Couch Sells)
* 20% of net profit
BONUS: Buyer Delivery (Optional)
* Buyer pays ~$50 delivery fee
* Paid to you after completing delivery
Time & Earnings (Typical)
* Target volume: ~4 couches sold per week
* Time per couch: ~4–5 hours total
* Weekly time: ~15–20 hours
Typical earnings:
* ~$700+ per week
* Usually averages mid $30s per hour
* Upside increases with higher sale prices and faster turnaround
Schedule
* Flexible, non-consecutive hours
* Availability needed for pickups, showings, and deliveries
* Some evenings or weekends may be required
