ideally you have a reliable form of transport and a smartphone. i sometimes send a video explainer or links to products i want to install so it helps that you can open them and give feedback or confirm that it's something you're comfortable doing.
prefer venmo or zelle payment (cashless), won't ever call you over unless i can give you 3-4 hour minimum of work.
as of this posting, i need:
- towel bar / rack mounted
- 3 or 4 small hooks mounted around the house
- dumb switches swapped to smart ones (some are lights only some are ceiling fan and light combos)
- grout clean up
- front hardscape installed (sand, gravel pebbles and some step stone pavers)
ideally you are close to the carmel valley road exit on I-5 where the trip isn't too far (thinking about gas expense vs your pay). I'll provide coffee / soda / water and an occasional lunch. as well as pay for special parts on a project. Hope you have the basics obviously :)
i have about 4 households top of mind that also need a handyman so you'd be my primary referral if this works out long term. for me personally you can expect 10ish hours a month of consistent work. could be 1 trip could be 2. rarely is something super urgent where i need it done the same day.
