We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Softgel Encapsulation Machine Operator to join a leading vitamin manufacturing company in Vista, CA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential. The operator is responsible for the safe operation, set-up, cleaning, and monitoring of softgel encapsulation machines to ensure high-quality production in compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Key Responsibilities
Operate encapsulation production equipment safely and independently.
Follow SOPs and ensure all production activities meet written procedures and cGMP standards.
Train and support new encapsulation machine operators.
Complete accurate documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
Assemble, disassemble, clean, and set up encapsulation machines and related equipment.
Perform in-process quality checks (weight, temperature, ribbon thickness, capsule seam/size).
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tumblers, tanks, and work area.
Ensure proper labeling and handling of materials.
Report equipment issues or out-of-specification product to supervisors.
Wear required PPE and follow gowning procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or vitamin industry preferred.
Previous softgel encapsulation machine operation experience strongly preferred.
Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting ability.
Organized, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
Reliable with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
