Responsibilities
•
A wrangler is responsible for tack, proper fit, cleaning, and repair of horse facilities as directed
•
A wrangler is responsible for guest activities related to equine including but not limited to trail rides, riding lessons, grooming lessons, wagon rides, rodeo activities etc
•
Maintenance may include but is not limited to the following: inventory, feeding, grooming, training, healthcare, trail maintenance, fencing, pasture/turnout areas, guest relations and socialization
•
As the focus of many of our guest’s itinerary, the Wrangler must ensure pleasant and safe rides for guests of varying levels of horsemanship
•
This position requires superior guest relations and professional interaction at various ranch events, etc
•
The Wrangler position reports directly to the Head Wrangler and/or General Manager
Qualifications
Previous experience in a leadership role appreciated
· Must possess effective communications skills
· A positive attitude, willingness to go above and beyond for guests and a sense of humor are appreciated
· Equine experience required
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Instructional or hospitatlity setting
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Results-oriented
Heavy lifting (must be able to lift 75 lbs.)
· Able to work outside in all elements
· Able to work flexible and demanding hours
· Must be able to walk on various terrain
A criminal background check is required.
