Service Technician
General:
- Service municipal water treatment equipment at current customer accounts
- Equipment start-up and installation verification
- Equipment troubleshooting
- Training will be provided
Task & Responsibilities:
- Drive company service vehicle to various water and wastewater treatment plants throughout southern California.
- Staying overnight on extended jobs (weekdays only, no weekends or holidays).
- Manage personal inventory, tools, and company vehicle maintenance.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and replace service items on chemical feed systems.
- Troubleshooting various issues found.
- Test and certify systems for integrity and functionality.
- Manage jobs and day to day with little supervision.
- Work independently at various customer sites.
- Provide competent recommendations to customers and end users.
- Climb to the top of water reservoirs for installations (approximately 15’ to 60’.)
- Installation of reservoir water mixer (approximately 45 lbs.)
- Plumb PVC components for chemical disinfection systems.
- Calibration of various instruments and equipment to measure, control and maintain chemical feed systems.
Requirement:
- Mechanically inclined
- Critical Thinking
- Detailed Orientated
- Read a tape measure
- Use a level
- High aptitude craftsmanship and fabrication
- Basic understanding of electricity
- Basic understanding of pipe fitting
- Competency with power tools

Pay Range: $28-$33/hour
