We are a small, home-based fine art studio looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to help with canvas stretching, custom frame assembly, packing, and shipping artwork.
Our pieces and frames are high-value and intricate, so we need someone who takes pride in careful, precise, hands-on work and wants to be part of a small, committed team.
Responsibilities:
• Stretch canvases to studio standards (will train)
• Assemble detailed custom frames
• Pack and prepare artwork for shipping (boxes, crates, padding, labels)
• Help keep the studio organized and tidy
Requirements:
• Very reliable and on time
• Able to work carefully and independently after training
• Comfortable lifting and carrying 40–80 lbs
• Reliable transportation to our home studio in Oceanside.
• Respectful of working in a private, smoke-free home
• Willing to complete a background check (and, if needed, a standard drug screen)
Details:
• Part-time to start, 20 hours per week, mostly weekdays (some flexibility)
• Hourly pay depends on experience and skill
• We will fully train the right person – no prior art or framing experience required, just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
To Apply:
Please email with:
• A short introduction about yourself
• Any relevant experience (packing, shipping, framing, shop/warehouse, or other hands-on work)
• Your general weekday availability
• Your phone number
