We are currently seeking an RN to work in an innovative new Therapeutic Day Program in San Marcos. New Beginnings is designed to support the individual's behavioral needs while providing vocational training opportunities as well as opportunities for socialization and community integration.
The RN will:
*Participate in the admission/discharge procedure for all participants including pre-admission evaluation and
determination of any restrictive health care needs.
*Administer injections to individuals who require such medications while attending the program.
*Administer or assist with any restrictive health care procedures which may be required by participants during program hours.
*Evaluate illnesses or injuries of participants and/or staff and advise appropriate action.
*Provide training to day program staff regarding the on-going health care needs of participants attending the
program including any restrictive health care needs on a monthly and quarterly basis.
*Assist with administering medications when necessary.
*Complete/review documentation on special incidents, as needed.
*Complete documentation, as required, on any health care related issues including restrictive health care issues.
*Review documentation and ensure required medications are being administered and documented correctly.
*Communicate with program staff, families, social workers, agencies, residential programs, etc. as needed to
ensure continuity of healthcare services to participants.
*Attend ISPs and other meetings, as required.
Ideal applicant will be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of California and must have at least 6 months psychiatric/behavioral health experience. Knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations a plus!
