This walker provides stability and maneuverability. It promotes independence and reduces falls, especially for those with neurological conditions like Parkinson's disease. Anybody could benefit from its sturdiness, stability, and maneuverability.
This walker uses reverse braking technology. You have to squeeze the brake levers to move forward. When you release the brake levers, the wheels lock. This prevents the walker from rolling unintentionally. It also allows you to sit on the seat safely without having to lock or hold onto the brakes.
The configuration of the wheels allows a tight turning radius. It can pretty much turn circles in place.
It has a padded seat and a basket under the seat.
This is the Standard size U-Step. There is also a Junior size and a Tall size. This Standard size has a seat that is 22" high from the ground. The handle height can be adjusted in one inch increments to be from 29.5" to 38.5" from the ground. It is for a person from 5'2" to 6'1".
There is an optional accessory that can be purchased online called "The Cue". It would provide laser light and sound for visual and audio prompts while walking. It could be especially helpful for Parkinson's patients who suffer from freezing.
