One of the nicest looking cycads you can grow. It is a relatively fast-growing cycad, Cycas thouarsii is grown in horticulture as a specimen plant. It requires moist but well-drained soil, and will tolerate shade, partial shade, and sun. It is hardy to frost but can tolerate exposure to temperatures down to 25 °F (UDSA hardiness zone 9b)
