The so called Madagascar palm, Pachypodium lamerei, is not really a palm but a succulent plant native to South Africa and the island of Madagascar. This variety remains small and flowers at a young age and produces sweet scented white flowers with a yellow throat. Is fairly easy to grow both indoors, as well as outdoors.
