Frontline worked for my 13-pound Chihuahua mix for 5 years. But she, or the local fleas, apparently built a tolerance for it and the vet has switched her to a systemic brand.
Frontline does not have an official, printed expiration or manufacture date. It is said to be good for several years--IF stored in cool, dark conditions.
These blisters are nearly new and have been kept in a dark, low cabinet.

Technically, most Frontline products don’t come with a printed expiration date. According to the manufacturer, Frontline Plus and Frontline Gold have indefinite shelf lives if stored properly. However, just because there’s no formal expiration date doesn’t mean you can forget about storage precautions. The product’s active ingredients, Fipronil and S-Methoprene, are stable over time, but prolonged exposure to high heat or direct sunlight could degrade these chemicals, affecting the treatment’s effectiveness.
💡 Pro Tip: While Frontline products may not officially “expire,” it’s best to use them within 3 to 5 years of purchase to ensure maximum potency.
No formal expiration, but potency can decrease. Store in a cool, dry place for best results.
