Internship and Training for Tax Preparation (Escondido)

auto park way near aero
We are looking for up to 12 people to learn how to prepare income tax returns professionally. This is an eight-week course in using professional income tax software.

There are three parts to preparing tax returns professionally and successfully.
1. You must know the law.
2. You must know the differences between Federal and California laws.
3. Even if you know the laws, you must know how to navigate the tax software so it does what you want it to.

Tax laws have been changing so rapidly during the past 15 years that a book for a college course is obsolete before it even goes to the printers. Yet the demand for tax (and accounting) professionals is so high that only 7 careers are higher in demand.

We are not charging for this course; nor are you legally allowed to prepare income taxes inside California upon completion.

Upon successful completion of this course, however, you may be eligible for an entry-level position with our firm.

All training will be in Escondido. You have your choice of sessions: Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., or Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will also be a couple of Saturday mornings (9 to noon) involved as well. The classes will start in mid-October and run through mid-December. They will not interfere with Thanksgiving plans.

This is a great way to distinguish yourself from other applicants, whether you would like additional seasonal income or a full-time career. This is a perfect opportunity for a college student considering a career in accountancy.

We expect more applicants than we have slots, so for consideration, please send us a letter explaining why you would like to go into the tax preparation field. Those with criminal histories involving trust, misappropriation or embezzlement should save the embarrassment and not apply.

A resume or C.V. would also be appreciated.
