The Technics SL-6 is a fully automatic, direct-drive, linear-tracking, programmable turntable made in Japan in the early 1980s. This turntable is in excellent condition and operates properly. Will demonstrate. It comes with a good Audio Technica cartridge & stylus, original owner’s manual and built-in 45RMP adapter.
PROGRAMMABLE: You can play the whole record by simply pressing start, or you can select which tracks to play by pressing the track numbers on the front panel. Record size and speed are detected automatically by the optical sensor and microcomputer. And if no record is on the platter the tonearm will not attempt to play, avoiding damage to your stylus.
LINEAR TRACKING: The tonearm moves in a straight line, the way the master record was cut in the studio, keeping the stylus tangential to the record groove eliminating tracking error and lowering inner-groove distortion instead of moving in an arc across the record.
