Hello, everyone,
Today, I am offering for sale my 2002 Porsche 996 911 Turbo Coupe in Seal Gray over Black leather. It currently has 67K miles and is a tiptronic. No modifications whatsoever/100% bone stock. Side markers were changed to clear as the originals are orange and clear looks just so much better, but the original, factory orange side markers are included in the sale. This example was highly optioned with an MSRP of over $125K back in 2002. As you may know, year 2002 is particularly desirable since even the Mezger engine was made in and stamped "Made in Germany" unlike the later examples (2004/2005) that had their engines made/assembled in Spain and Czech Republic I believe. I will not get into the legendary Mezger engine in this listing as lots has been written over the years and im sure you are familiar with how amazing it is, which is why you're in the market for one of these. In short, the Mezger engine is a dry-sumped, flat-six engine with a vertically split crankcase and separate air-cooled barrels for each cylinder. It was originally designed for the 911 GT1 race car that won Le Mans and later adapted for road use in Porsche models. The Mezger engine is known for its power delivery, revvy nature, and robustness. This example comes equipped with partial carbon fiber interior and full leather seats. It is in incredible condition for the year. My fiancee and I purchased it locally (Cardiff) more than 6 years ago and put less than 10K miles on it since we've had it. Major 60K service was completed on time with spark plug, hoses, brake flush replacement etc. by me after the purchase. Before I purchased the vehicle, I had it inspected (pre purchase inspection) by the very reputable Black Forrest folks (Porsche Specialist with great reputation) with the owner involved in the inspection, and needless to say, it passed with flying colors. Once I obtained the perfect pre purchase report, it was an easy decision. Anyway, it currently has about 67K miles and in preparation for the sale another inspection and an oil change was completed yesterday (6/14/2025) at Auto Strasse Porsche in Costa Mesa as well as a smog check (last week). During the oil change, frunk shocks were replaced as well. A new battery was installed in 2024; less than a year ago. Registration was just paid and is valid for one year. Exterior looks great with original Turbo Twist wheels (desirable hollow kind) that look brand new without a scratch. Interior speaks for itself and is flawless. I am very particular with my cars and baby them a little too much, which is why even the door sills never get stepped on and look new as well as interior mats that are always covered by custom, clear protective mats I use for all my weekend drivers. Rare and expensive OEM carbon fiber steering wheel is in perfect shape, and leather seats look better and newer than most examples of this car with 10K miles as does the carpet; it is just a brautiful example overall. Anyway, I am sure there are details I might have forgotten to mention, so feel free to reach out with any questions you may have and/or to set an appointment to see the vehicle in person. Thank you and good luck in your search.
