IF YOU ARE READING THIS AD, THE TRUCK IS AVAILABLE.
I have the Carfax in hand that will be shown with the truck.
Just moved from Sac to Oceanside and the parking isn't working with my other car.
I really don't want to sell this truck, but life makes other plans.
In the last 10 days, I have put over 800 miles on this rig from Sac to San Mateo to Fresno to Oceanside. Smooth as silk!
259k on chassis, engine rebuilt at 148k, trans rebuilt at 158k. 454/7.4L big block, automatic.
Custom aluminum wheels and 6 matching Toyo open country tires with 90% tread.
Kenwood stereo with working wireless bluetooth.
This truck was owned by an older gentleman from new until I bought it earlier this year. It was his pride and joy for 32 years.
He maintained this truck exceptionally well, and it shows. The interior is as clean as you will find on an OBS, and he made several useful upgrades to his truck. I have continued to give it the best in my short ownership.
Truck is ready to tow a 5th wheel or Cabover(what is was mainly used for). Plug in, all the mounting hardware, trailer brake, etc.
It also has additional air springs in the rear with dash switches, so you could put a 3500lb camper in the back and it won't sag at all.
Transmission cooler has also been added. Trans temps stayed super cool going 70mph up the grapevine!
I just replaced the power steering pump that was whining just a bit, and put on a new Gates belt.
The steering is tight now. Cunningham Machine double U-joint steering shaft replaced the OEM rag joint design. If you know how these truck typically "steer" this upgrade will blow your mind.
The Rebuilt title is due to the bed being hit in 2005. Old boy was not about to let his baby go, and there was absolutely NO frame damage. You are more than welcome to bring anyone you want to inspect the frame to verify. He purchased a new bed, and used this mishap as an excuse to repaint the whole truck. While 20 years old now, the paint was done very well and still looks beautiful today. There are rock chips and scratches, this was never a garage queen.
Bottom line: Clean OBS duallys are rare now, and you will not see a cleaner one for this price. It is higher mile, but the condition of everything shows the level of care given and the pride of ownership. It runs and drives like a truck with 1/3 of the miles, and I get complimented almost every time I take it out.
Price is OBO, possible partial trade for a motorcycle.
TEXT ONLY PLEASE. Too many scam calls. Happy to talk once I know you're a real, interested party.
