When I came across this car I wasn't planning on fixing it and putting it back on the road. But after inspecting it I found out that this car special because it is the very first month that the 944 was introduced into the North American Market and it was the 223rd 944 ever produced!
So we decided to put it back on the road.
All of the major mechanical issues and maintenance items have been done on the car.
It has a brand new front and rear main seal.
It has essentially a brand new clutch and flywheel
It has essentially brand new brake pads and rotors
Brand new belts, rollers, timing belt, balance shaft belts, water pump, front seals, oil, oil filter, various gaskets, spark plugs, cap and rotor.
The battery was bought in 2025 and is good
Most of the wiring has been gone through.
It also has a couple of trick weltmeister suspension components from the 90s!
All of the work done to the car was done at Comeau racing Enterprises
The car is cosmetically rough as you can see from the photos. It is a work in progress and as I continue to fix and redo parts of the car the price will go up. The entire interior is going to continue to be worked on and refinished.
There are spots on the car that are missing paint but the paint that is on the car was revived and looks good after buffing and polishing.
We are open to offers. The car will sell for more as we continue to work on it. The main goal was to put it back on the road as a running and driving project for someone who would love to have a piece of early 944 history!
