United Access of San Diego, located in Kearny Mesa, is selling a 2024 Ford Transit 350 XLT in Blue Metallic that's been converted for wheelchair accessibility by Fenton Mobility. These converted vehicles help people with mobility issues get out into the world and enjoy life like everyone else can. This one is the first one of these vans we've received in this high end trim. It's something like a Tempe Ram Promaster for around 20K less.
The van has been equipped with a BraunAbility Century Series 2 lift and an integrated grab bar. The lift will pick up 800 lbs from the ground and bring it level with the floor of the van. Then when you're done driving, it will take that same 800 lbs and bring it back to ground level. Once the lift doesn't need to be used, it folds up vertically to allow the sliding door to close. This lift also comes with a cool Shift N Step system. This system will slide back toward the rear of the van to move the wheelchair lift out of the when when you would like to use the additional space. When you need to use the lift again, just press another button and the lift slides back into position.
This is a really well equipped van too. Up front, it has a 12 inch screen in the dash for navigation and other vehicle functions. The van comes equipped with an upgraded Manor Oak flooring system installed. It looks great and makes it easy to move the chair from place to place. Out back, there is a class 3 receiver hitch installed onto the Transit to tow something along with you on a trip. Inside the cabin, there is a triple bench and also a double bench seat for additional passengers. That means you can have seven people inside the van PLUS the wheelchair. The seating in the front and the rear all are done with a sharp diamond stitch pattern that really stands out. Outside of the cabin, there are driver's and passenger's side blacked out running boards installed. Just up from there, the van is sporting upgraded black aluminum alloy wheels all around. There's a factory installed trailer brake controller too.
If you look up from the driver's seat, the rear view mirror is digital, so it gives you a camera view. This way, if someone is blocking the normal path the light from the mirror would take, it won't effect you at all. This Transit also has Factory HID headlamps for better nighttime vision, and privacy glass to stop people from checking in on what's going on. There's also 10 way power heated seats, it will run the lower cost E85 fuel, and comes equipped with Ford Co Pilot 360 too. This is a really great van.
