United Access of San Diego, located in Kearny Mesa, is selling a 2019 Ram Promaster with 60,717 miles on the odometer. This Dodge Promaster has been converted into a wheelchair accessible vehicle by Tempest. It's one of the largest, most capable wheelchair usable vehicles we offer. The passenger side sliding door has been upgraded to a powered, remote operated system that integrates with the wheelchair lift. The floor has been remanufactured to allow a wheelchair to roll across it easily. On the passenger side sliding door there is a Braun wheelchair lift already installed. The cabin area of the vehicle is equipped with restraint systems to secure the wheelchair safely to the vehicle. This van is the Tempest X-HT conversion, lots of upgrades and lots of space!
This particular model also is equipped with the tall roof option, making it even more spacious inside. Aside from the area meant to transport wheelchairs, the van incorporates seating for 5 people. Up front are comfortable and leather captain's chairs for the driver and passenger. Out back the van is equipped with a Leathermate extra wide sofa that incorporates a power recline function along with three headrests. The interior is outfitted with Alante soft touch side walls in a two tone finish. The soft touch walls and ceiling are both insulated to keep the large cabin more comfortable. There's also ample storage placed around the cabin area along with ample lighting throughout. For the passengers, there are multiple USB charging ports installed in the vehicle and privacy glass to keep prying eyes away
It's also equipped with a very powerful aftermarket Twin Air heating and cooling system that works independently of the factory Dodge climate control system. While the passengers are hanging out in comfort, they can watch the large screen ceiling mounted television with dual headphone audio. Entry and exit is simple with the matching body color full length running boards installed outside the cabin. There's even multiple overhead cabinets with glossy black walnut doors that use their sure close feature.
This Promaster 1500 also came equipped with Tempest's R/T package. This gives you 16" chrome Vision PVD wheels, matching body color side view mirrors, color matched side moldings, front and rear bumpers that are color matched to the vehicle, as well as the door handles and license plate pocket. This van is very sharp coming and going. For power it uses the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 and nine speed transmission, power front windows and door locks, drivers side and passenger side sliding doors, integrated in dash navigation with bluetooth, digital rear view mirror with backup camera, and TONS more.
This van is the cream of the crop when it comes to wheelchair transportation. It's luxurious, comfortable, stylish, and sharp. There is a ton of room inside the van and just about everything has been thought of. . It's probably going to be awhile before we see another one.
