I have the concept but need an artistic representation of my vision to show at the big trade event in Santa Monica being held for the reconstruction. Late Nov.
I have theme photos and the concept to be given to two finalists who are chosen to compete to create the best rendering.
We will set up a go fund me to pay for half of the cost. I’ll cover the other half. (A $150k value statue)
This is a great portfolio piece for an artist.
I used to pay $150 a sketch of a fountain or mantle, but this has such huge exposure for the time involved. It’s a no brainer.

If you want $150 for the work up front when you win, that’s cool, but you will receive NO credit. We will not give you any credit or public exposure.

I’m paying $10k for the 3 day event. Just for the exposure.
Final art piece I need for the event is 24” x 16”
Theme:
“Weeping Angel”. 6’ bench with a crying angle. 1200lbs - Italian themes
Final Media - Italian Carrera Marble (bone white with dark grey veins) with a commemorative brass plaque with victims.
You will work with
Pencils - Watercolor - Chalk - Charcoal - not paint. We want a rendering, not a painting.
or
Clay or other sculpture mediums are welcome.
My master carvers will recreate any fine details you sketch.
Anything you can best represent for my master carvers to create, they will carve by hand.
The finalist will have their art work inspire what will be carved from marble, which will be on permanent display.
The event: Santa Monica Late Nov.
10k - 15k attendees and 125 media outlets.
Contractors, developers, designers and architects as well as the local attendees who lost their homes.
If you win, you will be invited to the events opening gala as well as the unveiling of the piece. Celebrities will be in attendance I hear.
This is competition is 100% open to anyone to enter.
We do have a special offer for aspiring pretty female artists.
Note: We manufacture and sell architectural stone (fountains, mantels and columns) and are currently teaching several pretty women and young ladies to be master masons. Design, sell and install. Travel to the faction Italy, China, France, Mexico and Turkey to learn from the best. It’s an amazing opportunity to learn a dying trade that is a true art. From design, to sales and carving, even installation, learn the passion of a trade. ( I’m a fifth generation mason) The industry is and has been a boys club for centuries, and still is. There are so few masons and none of them are pretty women. We aim to change that.

I have several girls in training in So Cal preparing for the show, and we would love to invite art minded team mates.
Fact: Other than as a sales girl, women don’t get invited into this industry very often, and when they do, it’s not to be working at quarries, factual installing on wealthy estates. We are changing that.

Two artists will be chosen to compete for the work and the spot lite.
Two week competition between the 2 artists.
