Recognizing his talent at an early age, he became a commercial artist. He later graduated from the University of Arts in Hanover and since 1944 has been a free lance artist.
Munnich has traveled widely and studied with Professors Beck and Torrak and spent some time in Luxembourg at the Fischbach Castle. Today, the name of Munnich is very well known among art experts and collectors. His works have been exhibited in the "House of Art" at Munich since 1934.
