Used rare antique restored 1947 Model 72DA twin gas, 2-stroke, throttling governor engine removed from a Maytag washing machine with nice new decals. This running engine is in great mechanical condition for a 74 year old engine. The engine has very good balanced compression, new Champion spark plugs, new gasket kit, strong ignition, new muffler, coupler, clean tank interior, easy start and runs nice and smooth. This model comes with kick starter, cast iron tank with corner mounts, Eisemann magneto with strong spark, wooden sled, new muffler and coupler.
The entire engine has been disassembled according to the Maytag Factory Service Manual, sand blasted, primer coated, painted flat black (engine high temp gloss), holes tapped, new decals, lubricated, reassembled and test run. The video link below is from the post restoration check out. This is my personal restoration making this motor a great addition to any engine collection or DIY project. Made in the U.S.A. These are 2-stroke engines that require a gas/oil mixture of 16 to 1 and I’ve pictured the oil I use from Walmart. Great after the holidays present for the engine enthusiast that has everything!
