All this sitting on a substantial porcelain iron base. This exceptional Ansonia movement is fresh out of professionally executed complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning and new bushings and reassembled and properly lubricated for many years of accurate timekeeping. This is the premium Ansonia 8-day time & strike brass movement with "open escapement", and a stunning porcelain dial in absolutely perfect condition. The movement is stamped with "ANSONIA CLOCK CO. / PATENTED JUNE 14, 81 / NEW YORK, U.S.A." and a second patent date of June 18, 1882.
This clock is as it left the Ansonia plant 144 years ago... all original. Case and figures have NO repairs, breaks or changes. Movement is original to this clock. Key & pendulum included.
