An intimate, privately held company operating two recently renovated and recognized hotels on the beach in Carlsbad, CA. It's hard to describe the intangibles of our work team, from friendly and genuine staff, to amazingly supportive ownership and, yes, even ocean view offices. Our boutique hotel company is seeking the right eager, entrepreneurial, and competitive Revenue Manager to lead the revenue management efforts of our two intimate beachfront hotels. The player we select will participate in key hotel decisions, maximize average daily rate and occupancy, manage all distribution channels, and become an integral part of a highly collegial and satisfied management group.
Our two hotels, totaling fewer than 100 rooms, have recently undergone almost $7 million in renovations. The boast unparalleled beach locations and loyal, highly satisfied clientele. We are not mired in corporate measurement or unreasonable expectations. We are aggressive about our success, our service, and our return, but with full participation of our team.
As hotel operators, we boldly refuse to live by the traditional cycle of unreasonable demand and retreating resources. Our goal is the happiness of our Guests and Associates, and toward that end, we hire highly competent people that will help us be remarkable and memorable rather than flashy. We seek long-term players, with reasonable experience, who want to practice the art of hospitality in a supportive team environment.
Our Revenue Manager is primarily responsible for optimizing the hotel's market share through optimizing rate and occupancy, generating online promotions with third party sites, forecasting, participating in budget development, operating and market strategy. Our hotel is a small, but visible leader in its market. As such, this is not a role for anyone requiring substantial support staff around them. This position is for a person comfortable with a "hands-on" role where they are expected to dive into projects, problems, contribute to the operational strategy and the delivery of new efforts.
Desired skills and Experience
We seek a future team member with prior revenue management experience. We will also consider those with related demonstrated aptitude for variable valuation of a product and experience in travel distribution, or those with a proven track record of service and the ability to manage numbers and aggressively yield results through electronic channels and staff support. All candidates should be familiar with technical tools, website functionality, forecasting, yielding, channel distribution, be passionate about data analysis and what it tells us, competitive about developing winning strategies and promotion of a luxury product. We require a track record of excellent Associate relations, Guest service and team leadership, plus the ability to create highly effective and exacting results while working among friends. You may expect compensation to be consistent with your experience and with the size of the hotel operation.
