Skilled Construction Worker Needed – Full Time

Banning and Son Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable, and self-motivated construction professional to join our team.
This position requires someone who can be assigned a project, understand the scope of work, gather materials if needed, complete the work professionally, and communicate progress without constant supervision.
Required Skills – Must Have ALL of the Following to Be Considered
Please do not apply unless you have hands-on experience and can work independently in ALL of the following areas:
✔ Carpentry and framing
✔ Door and window installation and repair
✔ Plumbing repairs and fixture installation
✔ Basic residential electrical work
✔ Drywall installation, patching, texture matching, and repair
✔ Tile installation and repair
✔ Cabinet installation and adjustments
✔ Baseboards, trim, and finish carpentry
✔ Bathroom and kitchen remodeling
✔ Demolition and reconstruction
✔ Troubleshooting construction-related issues in the field
✔ Reading scopes of work and completing projects without constant supervision
This Position Is NOT a Good Fit If:
✘ You only have experience in HVAC
✘ You only do drywall
✘ You only do painting
✘ You only do flooring
✘ You require daily supervision or detailed step-by-step instructions
✘ You are unable to complete projects independently
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of hands-on remodeling and construction experience
Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work
Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
Valid California Driver's License
Reliable transportation
Own basic hand tools
Professional appearance and communication skills
Ability to interact respectfully with customers, subcontractors, and team members
