Stainless Steel “Optical Breadboard” Fabrication/Fixture Table - $750 (El Cajon)

This tabletop is magnetic stainless steel on the top and bottom with an inner stainless steel honeycomb. It is 2” thick. It has M6x1.0 threaded holes spaced evenly across the top on 1” centers.
Typically used in labs for laser setups, high precision microscopy, etc., this one was originally in use as part of a protein crystallography device at a large biotech company.
These are very popular with fabricators for wood or metal shops as the threaded holes make a fantastic surface for fixturing workpieces during construction.
The table has adjustable height threaded feet so it can be leveled and set at your preferred height. Lowest height setting is around 33”, highest is about 36”.
This table measures 23.5" wide and 39.5" long. The base was professionally made from angle iron and painted to prevent rust. It has some inner supports for components for the x-ray beam generator which were removed. You could use it as-is or cut those supports out with an angle grinder and put shelves or drawers or anything else in the base.
This cost north of $4,000 new. I’m selling it for $750 OBO. I can accept cash or Venmo.
