Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Robotics & Technical Operations Lead to oversee robotic measurement system operations, technical personnel, equipment management, and project execution. This role combines robotics, electronics, software support, data analysis, logistics, and team leadership to ensure successful deployment and operation of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
Robotics & Technical Operations
● Assemble, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve robotic measurement systems.
● Provide technical support to field technicians remotely, on-site, and on-call as needed, including troubleshooting equipment, software, and operational issues.
● Track, manage, and maintain robotic equipment readiness and deployment status.
● Learn and support proprietary robotic software, including data processing and analysis.
● Support Android-based platforms and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
3D Scanning & Data Analysis
● Operate 3D scanning and measurement equipment.
● Process and analyze scan data, including topographical measurements.
● Generate accurate reports and deliverables from collected data.
Team Leadership
● Manage and coordinate a technical team consisting of:
○ 1 Robotic Equipment Assembler
○ 2 Programmers
● Facilitate collaboration between hardware and software teams.
● Train team members on equipment, software, and operational procedures.
Logistics & Inventory
● Manage project schedules and team workloads.
● Coordinate shipping and logistics for equipment and materials.
● Maintain inventory and order parts from third-party suppliers as required.
Reporting & Communication
● Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
● Provide regular updates to management and communicate effectively with team members, field technicians, customers, and leadership.
Travel
● Travel as required for trade shows, field measurements, customer support, and project-related activities.
Required Qualifications
● Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in robotics, automation, or technical equipment.
● Solid understanding of electronics, wiring, and electrical schematics.
● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
● Experience with 3D scanning technology and data processing.
● Proven experience leading or coordinating technical teams.
● Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability and willingness to travel as required.
● Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
● Bilingual (English/Spanish).
● Experience with Android-based platforms.
● Background in robotics, automation, metrology, manufacturing, or related technical fields.
