This is a higher level of caregiving, I’m a Quadriplegic guy on Total life support. The shifts are 7p-7a, 12 hour shifts only, 3-4 days per week. I have found recently that EMT/PARAMEDICS or any emergency personnel seem to work the best, however if you have experience with people on Ventilators that is good too. I will try to explain some of the experience you need for this job below so please read to the end. I am looking for an experienced caregiver who is a self starter, quick learner and has experience in many of the duties I have listed below. There are many little things to learn so a strong memory is essential. Please toke into consideration:
1. ADL’s
2. Lift transfers
3. Ventilator(s)
4. Trach Care (cleaning & changing)
5. Tracheal suctioning
6. Range of Motion
7. Colostomy care & change
8. Supra Pubic Catheter care & change.
9. Sterile Technique
10. Cooking
This is some experience you will need, not all. Driving a full size van is part of the job, the ability to communicate, writing concise nursing notes and giving accurate verbal reports at end of shift, etc. You should be under 50 yrs. old and no less than 5’4” tall. The shifts are 7pm-7am and I pay cash! Please respond with “I can do it”.
My care is DIVERSE, but not complicated for someone with MEDICAL EXPERIENCE! You should have a good head on your shoulders, be compassionate, empathetic, talkative (ability to “Talk Story”), in good physical condition and have the ability to troubleshoot anything that comes up. This comes with experience in the field!
This job is not for beginners or someone who works multiple jobs. I have 3 1/2 12 hr. shifts per week available. I pay $26-$28 cash per hr. depending on experience, I do background checks so please don’t be a criminal, substance abuser, or anything that will make me say you’re freaking crazy. You should be able to tell me if you have had issues in the past, if you do, I’m pretty cool that way and can often work things out.
I have a 3 day training period and a 3 month probationary period. Please reply with a “Resume or the like” so I know what/who you are. Thank you for reading the entire ad and I hope to hear from you soon.
Please respond with “I can do it” if you read to this point, or I will not be able to respond.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
