We are looking to hire 2 LVN's for our 4 bed home.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN provides nursing care to patients in the facility, within the LVN scope of practices:
Duties
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for designated patients
• Provides Nursing Care to all patients
• Provides nursing care for all patients within scope of LVN practice
• Gathers data relevant to the patient’s individual needs
• Documents nursing observations according to hospital charting standards
• Reports symptoms, reactions and progress of patient to the supervisor and appropriate action has been taken
• Pursues proper chain of command to attain a satisfactory solution
Qualifications
• Must be currently registered with California Board of Vocational Nursing
• Previous experience as an LVN in an acute general hospital is desirable
• Must present a professional demeanor
• Must have good interpersonal skills
• Must maintain a calm and reasonable attitude during crisis and conflict
• Must demonstrate initiative and good judgment
• Must respond appropriately to routine and emergency situations
• Must be able to set and revise priorities based on changes in the situation
• Furthers his/her education by attending in-service classes, staff meetings, continuing education classes and reading of current professional material
