Caregiver (Client Facilitator – Adult Development Center (ADC))
Position Summary:
The Client Facilitator provides direct support to participants, assisting in the development of functional skills through individualized training in community and natural settings.
This position requires individuals who are professionally competent, emotionally resilient, and physically capable, able to work in a dynamic, demanding, and sometimes challenging environment that includes:
Supporting individuals with developmental and mental disabilities.
Providing personal care assistance, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene.
Managing challenging behaviors safely.
Facilitating community integration and participation.
Responding appropriately to unexpected situations.
Candidates must understand that this role has inherent emotional and physical demands and requires full capability to perform essential job functions.
Primary Duties:
Deliver high-quality community integration training, volunteer opportunities, and employment exploration/development.
Conduct client contacts and implement weekly activities aligned with Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals.
Assist with intake, assessment, and planning processes as required.
Support participants with self-care tasks (feeding, toileting, hygiene).
Promote participant independence, dignity, and full inclusion in community activities.
Maintain accurate records, ensure client safety, and protect confidentiality.
Professional Conduct and Reporting Responsibilities:
Employees must perform all duties with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
Any work-related injury or illness must be reported promptly and truthfully to a supervisor.

Client Facilitators are expected to maintain professional emotional boundaries and composure when working with participants.
INDayProgramsAC provides access to support resources while expecting employees to manage normal job-related stress consistent with their professional duties.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age or older.
Health screening and TB test clearance.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
DOJ and FBI criminal record clearance.
Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation with working seatbelts and proof of insurance.
High school diploma or one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of SDRC referral and funding procedures preferred.
Multilingual ability (English, Spanish, Arabic) preferred.
Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., or as scheduled based on client and agency needs.
