This is a one owner, genuine artifact from the development of San Diego County. It is in perfect working order, and comes with its original box, Tripod & 2 Plumb Bobs.
Before my grandfather did street & utility construction in San Diego, my great grandfather worked for the Saint Louis Car Company. He brought out & set up Spreckles’ Exposition Trolley cars for the Panama–California Exposition in 1915.
Vintage Brass Surveying Transit Level with Wood Box. It almost certainly a Wissler since my Grandfather brought it out from St. Louis when he relocated here, but I don't see any markings on the item. He used it Pre & Post WWII to lay Sewer & Water lines with his contracting company.
Sold as pictured. Comes with what is pictured.
