Up for sale is an all-stainless steel ballscrew-driven electric lift assist cart from a pharma production facility.
This unique cart was custom made to help lift heavy drums and jugs of liquids when mixing or loading them into machines. Because it needed to be able to be "washed down" with water and cleaning chemicals, it is completely made of stainless steel. Everything from the column to the locking caster wheels is stainless steel. You could leave this outside, spray it with acids, etc, and it would not rust or fall apart.
The lifting platform is made of white Delrin plastic (also chemically impervious) and can be removed, which reveals a sort of "forklift forks" type setup which you can use to loop a strap over. Maximum height of the lifting platform is 69" and the minimum height is 44". Because the platform can be unbolted, you could custom make a lower or higher platform to extend the minimum or maximum height available.
There is a simple two button control, one button for up and one button for down. There is also a speed control so you can make fine movements or quicker movements depending on the requirements of what you're doing.
The base of the platform is 30" front to back and 27" wide. All four 5" casters are solid plastic and each has a lock. There's an ~8 foot extension cord to plug it in to an outlet. It is not battery powered, so it needs to be plugged in to operate.
I would estimate that the lift weighs about 300-350lbs and I have used it to safely lift objects up to 250lbs.
This would be excellent for any sort of industrial use, whether it's working in a chemical heavy environment or a brewery. It could also be super handy in a warehouse or to help lift heavy components onto a workbench. In a commercial kitchen or bakery it would allow heavy ingredients and dough to be moved without someone hurting their back. It could even be used in a machine shop to load heavy metal stock into a CNC or lathe much like a SkyHook. Or, this would make an awesome work stand to clean and work on heavy e-bikes.
When built, the price tag on this lift was over $7500. I'm selling this one for barely 10% of that original price, just $850.
I have a forklift for easy loading into your truck.
