For sale is an authentic antique Fairbanks Standard platform balance scale, No. 11, made in the USA. This is a heavy-duty commercial scale dating to the late 1800s–early 1900s, commonly used in general stores, feed stores, warehouses, and farms.

Features include:

Original cast iron base with raised lettering

Wooden platform and upright column

Steel balance beam with sliding poise weight

Small iron wheels for moving

missing parts

some rust-still rolls

This scale is not complete. It has great original patina. It has not been restored, making it ideal for collectors, rustic décor, storefront display, restaurant/bar décor, or farmhouse style interiors. Functional condition has not been professionally tested, but all major components are present.
