-LONG TERM WORK
- NETA SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA'S WATER EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY - WETA IS BUILDING THE US'S FIRST FLEET OF ZERO-EMISSION BATTERY-ELECTRIC FERRIES CALLED REEF RAPID ELECTRIC EMISSION-FREE FERRIES FEATURING LARGER 400-PASSENGER AND SMALLER 150-PASSENGER VESSELS FOR CLEANER SF BAY TRANSIT WITH CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE AT TERMINALS AND THE FIRST VESSEL EXPECTED TO SERVE TREASURE ISLAND BY 2026 AIMING TO MEET SAN FRANCISCO'S NET-ZERO GOALS.
KEY FEATURES OF THE REEF PROGRAM:
TECHNOLOGY: UTILIZES ADVANCED BATTERY-ELECTRIC PROPULSION REPLACING TRADITIONAL DIESEL ENGINES FOR ZERO ONBOARD EMISSIONS .
VESSEL TYPES: INCLUDES TWO LARGER VESSELS 400 PASSENGERS FOR CENTRAL BAY ROUTES AND THREE SMALLER VESSELS 150 PASSENGERS FOR NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES LIKE TREASURE ISLAND AND MISSION BAY
Certification: Must be electrically license through the CA DIR. Journeyman license preferred but will consider high experienced ET carded electrician
Tools: Must have basic hand tools and PPE
