Injection Molding Technician

SeeScan is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to join our in-house mold shop.

Compensation

The pay range for our Injection Molding Technician position is $23 to $27 hourly.

This range represents a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications we expect to find in a successful candidate. Actual compensation offered may be less or greater than this estimate based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, our assessment of your ability to bring value to our organization.

In this position, you will

• Set up and debug plastic injection molds using a variety of techniques, tools, resins, and molds
• Start up and shut down injection molding machines
• Ensure that the correct material has been loaded and that the correct temperature has been set per resin drying guidelines
• Document the quantity, batch and lot numbers of material used
• Visually inspect parts for flashing, warping, short shots or any other part defects
• Sort, count and package parts per work orders
• Assist other team members as needed for mold changes, machine troubleshooting, or any other issues that may arise

Your background

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience in injection molding
• Proficient with basic troubleshooting and problem solving of injection molding issues
• Basic understanding of Hot Runner Molds and the supporting equipment
• Understanding of basic machine functions to meet all specified requirements
• Familiarity with Fanuc Roboshot injection molding machines and controls is a plus
