HELLO ARTISTS,
We are holding auditions for a fun Christmas Musical Play, titled: Wally Wonder and the Christmas Factory. It is basically a Christian/Christmas version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The story takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1955. We need to cast four kids who go along the Christmas factory tour. Below are the character descriptions. They’re all principle supporting characters.
NANCY PEPPER age 15: (can also be played a young adult)
Nancy is a super spoiled rich kid from Miami, Florida. She thinks she’s entitled to everything and she is spoiled rotten to the core.
BETTY BURGDORPH age 15 (can also be played by a young adult)
Betty is a teenage genius, from Seattle Washington. She is super intelligent, and she thinks she’s better than everyone else and thinks everyone else is dumb, compared to her. Her lines consist of lots of profound college type words.
RONNIE STEFANKO age 14 (can also be played by a young adult)
Ronnie is basically your James Dean character, from Flatbush, New York. He’s super cool, with greased up hair, leather jacket but he’s also so full of himself and his good looks.
MICKEY GLADSTONE age 17 (Can also be played by a young adult)
Mickey is a hot shot surfer guy from Newport Beach, California. He lives for the beach and surfing and speaks with beach bum surfer slang.
Our Presentation dates are December 5-7, 2025 with a total of five shows. One show on Friday, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. So you will need to be available for these dates. You will also need to be at rehearsals and we will work with your schedule to have you at rehearsals as much as possible. Rehearsal will usually be on a Saturday.
The auditions are on Saturday September 13, 2025 at 2pm at People’s Church San Diego, (4955 A Street, San Diego, CA. 92102) in classroom C.
This is a non-paying gig, but we will have footage for your acting reel and will provide everything your character needs. Plus, it will be a great experience and lots of fun working with like-minded artists.
Please respond to the email below and if possible send a headshot and let us know what character you would like to audition for. If you email me early, I can send you a scene so you can rehearse before your audition.
