Title/Position: Security Officer
We are offering PART TIME work at San DiegoYacht Club, the home of the America's Cup from 1988-1995.
Our hours of Operations are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
You will be required to work 20-25 hours a week.
For the right candidate FULL TIME WORK (32-40 hours a week) and benefits will be available AFTER 90 days.
The ability to work OVERTIME when needed is REQUIRED.
ABILITY TO WORK GRAVE SHIFT HOURS (10 pm to 3am or similar) is REQUIRED.
RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS REQUIRED.
You need to be DEPENDABLE, have FLEXIBLE hours, be a TEAM PLAYER, and be computer literate.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook, required.
Must be physically fit, be able to lift 30+ lbs, and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
You will be REQUIRED TO WORK HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS, and may have various schedules in the same work week.
Initial training will be in the day. Position includes Grave Shift (10 pm to 3 am. or similar) and Swing Shift hours (3 pm to 8 pm or similar) depending on need. Hours will increase for the right candidate after 90 days.

Reports to: Security Director
Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for the protection of the Yacht Club property, Members, Guests, Vendors, Boat Workers, Associates, and their assets.
Conducts Preliminary Investigations of criminal and non-criminal incidents.
Prepare computer generated written Daily Activity Reports ("DAR") and reports on all incidents ("ICR") affecting the operations and welfare of the Yacht Club.
Primary Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Tasks:
Responsible for greeting and screening all incoming traffic in a professional manner.
Register and log all incoming boats, trailers and other vehicles that enter the Club.
Register and log all boats, trailers and equipment exiting the Club.
Issue parking decals, permits and passes.
Monitor and review cameras.
Conduct foot patrols throughout the Club property and docks, to observe, respond to and report any suspicious activities, security problems, safety hazards.
Security locks and unlocks the Clubhouse, Sailing Center and the Pool on a daily basis.
Security responds to emergencies (i.e. fire, smoke, illnesses, injuries, disturbances, and unusual incidents).
Security assists Members, Guests with information, directions, or any other assistance when needed.
Security assists other Departments with the general operation of the Club, (i.e. Traffic and crowd control, access to secured areas, personnel escorts, etc.).
Flexible hours to accommodate emergency situations and any ongoing investigation are required.
Grave Shift Security Officer(s), in addition to the above duties, will prepare a"Slip Check" report for the Dock Master's Office and a Parking Lot Report for the Security Director.
