We have an exciting opportunity for a Botanist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Botany, Biology, Ecology or related science with experience in the identification of California Flora. This position may manage seed collection contracts from beginning to end. Including but not limited to performing and/or supervising a small crew in collection, cleaning, storage, seasonal seed farming and inventory control. This includes business development, scoping and costing projects; coordinating and organizing field work; conducting scouting surveys; developing and adhering to project schedules, deadlines and budgets; and producing reports detailing fieldwork results.

Requirements:
Excellent plant ID skills including plant physiology and taxonomy
Familiar with the use of dichotomous keys of California flora (Jepson, Munz)
Have excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong computer skills
Feel comfortable in potentially isolated remote areas
Must possess a valid California Driver License
Be available to take short collection trips throughout states west of the Rockies.
Must have a client service attitude, work with integrity and be quality driven.
Familiar with the use of GPS technology
Spanish language and GIS skills are favorable.
