We’ve got one private live/work studio opening* We’re looking for someone who’s not only creative, but grounded, dependable, and easy to live with. If you’re responsible, positive, and housebroken (yes, we said it😂), you’ll probably fit right in.
WHAT THIS IS: Truly Something Special!
This is an artist residency opportunity in a historic 5,500 sqft building that’s been reimagined and built out as a creative community.
It’s a mix of fully private & lockable work/live studios as well as shared spaces designed for content creation in tattooing, barbering, piercing, podcasting, and all sorts of adjacent creative industries and professions. Think supportive energy, respect for each other’s time and space, and a mellow but creative vibe that prioritizes creative productivity and personal development. 🔥
HISTORY: Revolutionizing the Idea of the Artist Collective
We started in Golden Hill a decade ago as a loose collective of artists collaborating generate original content in audio/video format and partner with local small businesses , putting on promotional events to spotlight the technical abilities of our up and coming artists.
That organically snowballed into a loose network of about 25-30 artists from all different backgrounds and mediums.
***At our pinnacle (pRe cxv!D) we ran this as half business, half community. But we slowly transitioned into a full blown community once the fam realized just how much went into keeping the business aspect afloat.*** *** CONSIDER*** As artists, we need to stick together and cxv!D showed us that we need to be more than an artist working group but a full fledged community.
Once we had all the studios in place,
We decided to keep a few tattoo chairs and barber/salon chair and make a podcast station, tattoo stations and a small salon area all backed with green screens; now that the overhead is covered by the private studios, we can afford to have these creative stations function as amenities for our team 🤌
The pictures featured in this ad are our favorites of the studio at an array of different stages and seasons. Tho not as pretty as she once was— She’s currently at her most functional and is set up in a way that serves the current roster of artists perfectly! 💥
YOUR ROOM
The available studio is 150+ sqft, fully private and lockable, featuring French doors opening onto a balcony that overlooks the studio floor.
It comes furnished with a queen bed, dresser, TV, lamps, rug, and original artwork, plus a closet and a rug on carpet floors. It’s comfortable, functional, and ready for someone who wants both privacy and inspiration. ✨
AMENITIES & FUNCTION
Rent includes all utilities, bills, overhead, amenities and anything else you need to live comfortably! The only things not provided in the monthly payment is laundry detergent and your food/drinks****
We know that sounds too good to be true, so be assured this is real!!!
This means WiFi, household supplies, and access to creative workstations all included.
The space is structured with clear guidelines, schedules, and secure systems so it runs smoothly and stress-free. Everything’s set up so you can focus on your life and art! …

You also get access to any and all of our materials, art supplies and production tools.

**No, we don’t have a full gym, but we do have lots of open floor space, and we’ve got a dumbbell set that starts at pairs of 2.5lbs and go all the way up to 50lbs
We also have a nice pull up/ calisthenics rack, yoga mats and equipment, and push up wheel, as well as foam rollers, straps and area to stretch/rollout.
We do have a live-in yoga teacher.
CREATIVE STATIONS
Although the private studios are large and leave each person with both room to sleep and work,
The common spaces have lots of spots you can set up to work on artwork or on your
computer/tablet*
In addition we have:
Podcast station***
Tattoo station***
Barber station ***
All three sets have multiple stations and all feature green screen backing so you can make your content fit your personal style and brand…
And yes, access to these stations are included in your rental price!
We also have professional lighting, mics, cameras and all the lil extras needed to ensure you can create whatever you’re into!
DAY TO DAY
The daily vibe is low-key: people cooking, creating, coming and going, sometimes tattooing or recording. Everyone here is busy and independent, but supportive when needed. It’s the kind of place where you can do your thing without worrying about dishes in the sink or loud chaos. 📍
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We want someone creative, caring, respectful, and reliable who knows how to handle themselves in a shared space.
Attitude matters more than skill level — kindness, responsibility, and a chill vibe are the real requirements. Pets can be considered, but only if they’re as housebroken as you. 🐈⬛
PRICE & LEASE
Month-to-month: $1,000 deposit, $1,000 first month, then $1,250/month all-in. That includes all bills, amenities, and supplies — no hidden costs, no nickel-and-diming. The setup is flexible so you can take opportunities as they come, while still being part of a solid, supportive home.
*We’re looking to get the room filled by September 1st.
