Your beach adventure is about to begin! I have a bedroom and bathroom soon to be open and am looking for a chill roommate to share this magical OB cottage. Three blocks to the beach, close to dining, night life and public transportation makes this an ideal location in North OB.
The house is fully furnished in a boho-beach vibe although your room can be furnished or not, your call. There is a dedicated living/TV room that has doors to close off from the main room. The front entrance leads to the main dining area where many dinner parties have taken place over the years. A decorative fireplace adds warmth and beauty. The kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances (except microwave) and cooking items. Your room is small (this house is over 100 years old and designed as a summer home) but you have a decent sized closet. A bed, dresser and even a small desk can fit in the room. You'll have a private bath and shower.
There is a washer and dryer on site. Small but servicable. The home has a large front deck perfect to enjoy the San Diego weather and a fire pit if it gets chilly. The back yard is divided into a storage area where you have plenty of room to store your bike or weatherproof containers. The other half is set up as an additional seating area. There's a smoker and a barbeque back there too. Two surfboards and all kinds of beach toys are at your disposal, even a beach friendly cart to haul yourself to the sand for a day of swimming!
You'll be living with me, a retired female working part time as a tour guide and my 12 lb maltipoo, who loves everyone and will demand morning kisses. (The dog, not me.) I'm an accomplished home cook, so meals are plentiful and delicious. You'll have access to all the basic food preparation ingredients for your own meals as well. I cover the costs of basic internet, some movie streaming services, and water as I have a garden I tend in the front. Utilities of gas and electric vary with the season, the highest in the winter due to the gas charges. There is no off street parking but the street is mostly residential and parking is usually not a problem.
Small dogs and cats are welcome and I often have play dates with other pups around the neighborhood. Large dogs, although I love them, are too big for the space but that can be discussed if you have a huge fur-baby.
You will have to qualify financially with the management company. They ask for 3X the rent in income.
